Class Action
Class Action Lawsuits are lawsuits brought by one party, or a group of parties, on behalf of a group of others who share common interests.
The court must permit the class action in order for it to proceed. Once class action is granted, members of the class action must be given notice. They then have to include or exclude themselves from the Class Action proceeding.
Lots of law firms are specialized in Class Action Lawsuits. There are lots of class action lawsuits against big tobacco and drug companies. On nearly all class action cases, law firms receive their fee from the successful settlement
