Water
The City of Oklahoma City is the provider of water for Oklahoma City. The primary sources of water are the Canadian River, Canton Reservoir, Atoka Reservoir, and Draper Reservoir. Average monthly cost is $1.14 per 1,000 gallons.

Wastewater/Sewer
The City of Oklahoma City is also the provider of wastewater and sewer services for Oklahoma City. Average monthly cost is $2.14 per 1,000 gallons with a treatment capacity of 101,000,000 gallons per day and current usage at 83,000,000 gallons per day.

Solid waste collection for large businesses (commercial and industrial), is provided by the following firms: American Disposal Services, BFI Waste Systems, Deffenbaugh Industries, Laidlaw Waste Systems, and Waste Management of Oklahoma. Currently, all of these firms have competitive rates and have the capability of processing additional waste products. Telephone/Telecommunications
Oklahoma City offers a telecommunications network that is unparalleled in geographic location, customer service or available technology. Southwestern Bell Telephone is the primary telecommunications provider in the Oklahoma City MSA. Electronic switching in all central offices, digital switching in most metro areas, the availability of fiber optic cable and equal access to numerous long distance companies are the foundations of Oklahoma City's telecommunications network. Oklahoma City also serves as the hub of several advanced telemedicine and distance learning networks.

In central Oklahoma, area businesses can call toll-free to more than 368,000 households and 26,000 businesses in a 35-mile radius around Oklahoma City, which equates to almost 4,700 square miles, the largest calling scope in the nation in terms of square miles. Residential rates for unlimited service are below the national average. Telephone customers in Oklahoma City have not had a residence or business rate increase since 1986.

Electricity
OG&E Electric Services is the primary provider of electricity in Oklahoma City. OG&E's electric rates, compared with those in 19 of the nation's largest cities, are among the lowest--especially in the winter season from November through May. Peak demand is 4,810,000 KW with a capacity of 6,170,000 KW. Average cost per KWH is $0.0712 for residential customers. Incentive rates are available. Natural Gas
The primary provider of natural gas in Oklahoma City is Oklahoma Natural Gas Company (ONG), a division of ONEOK Inc., part of an integrated intrastate energy company engaged in the production, purchase, transmission, storage, and distribution of natural gas. The company operates over 15,997 miles of pipeline while serving two-thirds of the state's population in 270 communities. ONG maintains a staff of professional engineers to assist existing and prospective businesses and industries seeking information on the availability of natural gas service, applications of natural gas in manufacturing processes, and efficient use of natural gas in industrial settings.
