Study at New Orleans
University of New Orleans
The University's main campus is located in an area of New Orleans known as the Lakefront (sometimes this campus is referred to as the "Lakefront Campus"). Located on the main campus are many buildings, most of which are dedicated to the different curriculums which UNO offers. In addition, there are also several resources for students as well as social gathering places.
Programs of study are offered through six academic colleges: Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Liberal Arts, Sciences, and Urban and Public Affairs. In addition, the University promotes educational outreach activities through the Metropolitan College, which offers credit and non-credit courses at off-campus locations and at non-traditional times on campus to accommodate the many individuals living and working in the metropolitan area for whom the traditional academic programs or schedules are not appropriate.
The University is proud of its motto Shaping Our Future and looks forward to continuing to serve the needs of the people of Louisiana.

Tulane University
When the forerunner to Tulane University - the Medical College of Louisiana - was founded in 1834, the city of New Orleans was already more than 100 years old. New Orleans embodies a special cultural blend that has produced food, music and architecture famous the world over. It's a cosmopolitan city that boasts an infectious spirit and an embracing love of life - and Tulane University can be found at its colorful, historic heart.
At Tulane, every student enjoys the personal attention and teaching excellence for which small colleges are known, together with interdisciplinary resources and research opportunities available only at a major research institution.
The campus regularly features famous speakers, hit movies, top concerts and activities for every interest. But if you are looking for a pickup game of Frisbee or a quiet place to read, Tulane's grassy quadrangles and oak-lined walks also offer a welcoming environment.
Since its inception, Tulane has grown into one of the nation's premier institutions of higher learning, known widely for both its undergraduate teaching and cutting-edge research. Those achievements are reflected in rankings by national periodicals such as U.S. News and World Report, which consistently ranks Tulane in the top quartile of major universities and among the top 15 institutions in educational value.
