Baltimore is located between Washington DC and Philadelphia. It has not only perfect environment but also convenient transportation systems. There are numbers of newly renovated apartments from aged housing around famous Johns Hopkins University, which brings great convenience to new comers especially Chinese students. Not far from the university is the well known Homewood district, there are blocks of large historic houses. They are old, but they are valued above half million dollars.
Towards north, 30 minutes of driving, is Towson the capital of Baltimore County. Towson has been dramatically developed for the past few years, becoming a beautiful modern town. Towson University has trained many of Chinese computer experts since 80's. Besides, lot of reasonably priced housing is available around the university for students to choose. Convenient shopping and transportation are a plus.
Timonium, located at northwest of Towson has developed a lot of luxury houses spotted among traditional buildings. At further north of it are Cockeysville and Hunt Valley, where many Chinese families have chosen to live for excellent school districts. A single house is priced from $300,000 to $1 million.
At west of Baltimore is Pikesville, many Jewish communities are found there. Increasing building construction makes traffic there very busy.
Along interstate highway I95, east of Baltimore is White Marsh. The commercial is prospective as well as house construction. Houses may be old or new, nevertheless their prices are reasonable, attracting more and more Chinese to move there.
At southwest of Baltimore are Catonsville and Ellicocity, where University of Maryland at Baltimore County is located. These are also districts with many Chinese families. The price of houses varies with broad range, you definitely have options.
